IQ test – a real measure of your intelligence?

When was the last time you had an IQ test? I had one online yesterday. (http://web.tickle.com/tests/) The result? 117 points out of a total 130 (or 140, I can’t remember). Not bad, huh? Actually, the report suggests that I scored above average Americans in dozens of states. Well, does that translate to higher intelligence than the Americans? I’m not sure.

According to the report, the careers I could excel include: physicist, chess player, city planner, astronomer, mathematician and researcher…none of which has ever entered my mind as a profession choice.

Ironically, physics and math were among my least favourite and worst performed subjects at school. How could I do a good job in professions that require a high level of knowledge in these fields?

The report also suggests that I need to improve my linguistic abilities, which, as a matter of fact, are much better than my physics and math.

I’m a firm believer in the idea that intelligence is something you’re born with and something can’t be coached or cultivated. No one knows how smart you are than you yourself. Everybody has a talent. The question is how to find the way to put your talent into great use. Once you’ve found it, success will be closer to you than ever before.

Cold Weather,Cold Time

Autumn leaves.

It's nice to live in North part of China that we have four seasons.

I spotted some in school.
We should still wait,wait until they all get red.

But should I expect that?

Oh,no.

Please stop.

In fact,often I wish the time can stop.
Then parents don't have to get old.

I wish the time can stop,so that I can do more things.
I even wish the time can draw back,then I can see how I looked like the first moment I arrive in the world;
then I can see myself palying at primary school,or maybe,hit by the careless boy that my knee bled,and see the did-not-cry me,etc.


I am not in a good condition.
Illness makes me think a lot.

I will treasure every moment I have.
No one should deter me,they are not even worth to make you feel upset.

And of course,time will not stop.
So let's embrace Autumn,and then Winter!

Inside and Outside the Studio...

Just read about the post TGIF in James' blog.

He had to adjust working schedule from that in HK.
And he is lack of sleep...but can be refreshed by taking naps.

And he talked about the phone interview.
I arrived home and I didn't watch the whole interview.But I did hear he apologised for technical problems(? I don't know,I wasn't watching then,and didn't know what exactly happened.)
Ah-oh...
This is the first reaction to his apology.
Something happened.

I remember Biz China's anchor Rui Chenggang once said 'the show must move on'.
So,true.
And some also said that it to be anchor looks glorious,but in fact it's hard.

So someone who has heart disease (arrhythmia is OK,ha) had better not choose work as anchor.

I also prefer it to be cooler.For the same reason.
But too cold would make me feel sick.
'Would you please shut the window?'
Now it's cold outside.
This evening Halla Mohideen (Sorry for not catch your name.) tell us it's warmer than before.
Global warming.
Uhhh...
Though,winter is still cold.
Hope there will be more snow.
I think snow is a romantic element.

When think of winter,I would always think of other things,
shining snow in the streetlight,glove,warm clothes,snow ball fighting (with laughter),etc.

Better stop,as it's getting tangent...

A Song to Share with You All

At James’ recommendation (http://www.james-chau.com/blog/?p=38#more-38), the other day, I squeezed a music break in my busy schedule by revisiting some of Stevie Wonder’s songs. All of a sudden, I found myself in love with Lately, a song with a tinge of sadness, but well worth listening to. It tells a heart-wrenching story about love and betrayal: Stevie loves the girl with all his heart, only to find his effort has gone down the drain, with his sweetheart finding her love elsewhere. Anyone would be heartbroken in his place. Musically speaking, the lyrics are very well written and the tune is very beautiful. Stevie Wonder is cut out to sing. He sings not with his voice, but with his heart. He’s a man of strong emotions, which roll out through his music. It’s not difficult for anyone who listens to Lately to feel Sevres’s passionate love, aching heart and forgiveness. If you are out of love or feel blue, this song is definitely to strike a chord with you.

Back to the story: I don’t see any reason why the girl doesn’t cherish the love she’s blessed with. Stevie has a hard time coming to terms with the fact that love is saying good-by to him, wishfully thinking that his premonition misses. If I were Stevie, I would not shed a single drop of tear for the girl, because she doesn’t deserve it. On the other hand, losing her may not be a bad thing, especially before she hurts you deeper. Since the two of you are not destined for each other, what’s the use of being together nonetheless?
